Support + Offerings

I believe that pregnancy and birth is a sacred gift and is meant to be supported in a sacred way.

Birth is an expression of faith, and a trusting in God’s design for birth.

With this perspective I encourage women to connect to God through pregnancy and during labor, and to honor our creator in every aspect of what we do and how we live. This type of birth support is meant for families who seek limited interventions and a peaceful, undisturbed home environment where they feel safe and supported in birthing and fostering a deep bond with their newborn.

I offer prenatal care that includes: nutrition, lab work review, counseling on health and wellness in pregnancy, answering questions, palpation, listening to baby with fetoscope, spiritual guidance, witnessing, and support in your journey through pregnancy. But can also use hands on skills, clinical assessments, and referrals when needed or desired.

Walking together on this journey includes:

Prenatal Care - monthly in home prenatal visits and monthly village prenatals with time to explore what’s coming up in pregnancy, palpation, measuring, listening to baby, and other tools/assessments as desired.

Spiritual Support and Guidance- continuous support in your pregnancy in this season of growth, including herbal, holistic, and homeopathic remedies for common complaints of pregnancy, nutrition, and deepening your faith.

Birth and Labor Support- witnessing, supporting, and honoring this rite of passage in the ways you want with a grounded presence, tending with honesty, and trust in your body. (I am there to assist you and do not consider myself a “medical provider”. I do carry equipment to handle birth complications at home but I do not routinely provide “medical things” such as administering pharmaceuticals, injections, oxygen, IV, or suturing - if you decide medical assistance is desired or needed you may need to transfer)

Postpartum Care- 6+ weeks of on going support, nourishment, and love from myself and the women in our community.

(Depending on distance. I also travel, email birthingthenewearth@gmail.com to ask about travel birth attendance)

Samantha was my Godsend. I had the honor of having her for my home water birth. I met her a couple months before my due date and I immediately knew she was special and we connected right away. From the beginning she was knowledgeable, attentive to my needs and gave me confidence in myself and in us as a team. She went above and beyond every step of the way. She was there with me in early labor and gave me the assurance I needed to feel confident and ready. During active labor she knew just exactly what to do to comfort me and relieve my pain (hip squeezes for the win!) and had amazing stamina the whole time through. She was a positive force and reassured me that I was doing well even when I didn't think I was and that's exactly what I needed. The saying goes "I couldn't have done it without you.". Well I would have had to if she hadn't been there but I don't even want to think about how much harder it would have been without her. She has also been there for me postpartum to help me with the same dedication and enthusiasm. Anyone would be beyond blessed to have her at their birth and I feel absolutely fortunate I found her!
