Birth is a sacred rite of passage. Sam considers herself a Christian Traditional Midwife. She offers Christian midwifery care, authentic, knowledgeable, compassionate birth witnessing and support. The birth support offered is a donation-based ministry, focused on walking alongside women as they birth in a way that honors God’s grace and perfect design.

She has been a birthworker serving in various roles (doula, student midwife, birth assistant) since 2019 and acted as Apprentice + Social Media Manager + Administrator + Birth Educator for Indie Birth Midwifery School from 2022-2024. Starting in May 2024 she began attending births on her own in the primary birth attendant role and supports family centered home birth. She is currently working towards licensure in Kentucky after attending births autonomously for the last year and a half with the goal to increase access to the full scope of home birth midwifery care while still honoring autonomy.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” - Isaiah 43:2
